I’ve got 8 pending drafts queued since last month that I don’t have any intention of finishing and posting soon. Actually, I’m debating to myself if I should retire this barely 7 month old blog in a few weeks time. I’ve got a few more months to go on the domain but the contents of this blog do not anymore serve my original purpose for my choice of name. Don’t get me wrong. This blog really served me well as a medium for my emotional outputs. And I love it so. This is like a very good friend who listened well to my pains and didn’t help me to just forget but instead help me to even remember and understand. I’m thankful for this for helping me keep a bit of my sanity. I’ll just give it a clearer and better venue if I see it necessary to blog again.

I’m also thinking of giving up my multiply, shelfari, shuttercal, and plurk accounts, pondering on giving up my ym account and my sun number. Also those long received emails that I’ve saved in some folder of my personal email accounts, I’m reflecting on sending it to virtual non-existence. I’m thinking of doing a virtual purging of some sort.

They are a virtual trove of memories which I hesitate to delete because I do find myself enjoying going back to those times. But then again, isn’t my own mind capable of storing those better memories? My reflections on lessons learned and stuff in life that I still wonder about are all in my head anyway. If I forget, it’s okay, as long as I’m still capable of making and storing new memories.

So it will be just twitter, a gmail and yahoo account, and facebook for online connection with friends and family. I’ll keep my ebay. And I will probably go get a flickr pro for picture sharing and a blogger again for online journal keeping of personal musings.

I’m still not 100% go on this. I’ll give myself a week to think it through. Then come September, the clean up begins.

This is not a goodbye. I’m just making a change.
